If you want to grow in the measure of life, follow the stream. In the river and its attendant streams is life.
Hence you have to locate the stream, its path and walk therein and you’ll be filled to an overflow. And as you stay in it, it will lead you into your inheritance in Christ Jesus.
But you cannot find it yourself. Only the Holy Spirit can help you locate it, hence David’s prayer of “thou will show me the path of life” (Ps 16:11). That path is the path of the river and that river flows from his presence
As you pray in tongues engaging the Holy Spirit to find the river, you may be led to sing a particular song, declare a scripture, pray a particular prayer, go stand in a spot, lift up your hands, etc.
All these is the Holy Spirit means to help you find the path of life for that particular moment. It may be different each time, hence sensitivity is key. Once you locate the river, swim in it, and let it lead you.
Swim in it by continuing to do that thing that led you to the river and let it lead you from there.
From that song, prayer, scripture He may lead you to make decrees, and take a prophetic action. That is how your river begins to flow out and affects the territory.

- Joy (it’s streams makes glad the city of God Ps 46:4).
- Peace (peace like a river that passes understanding Isa 66:12, Phil 4:7)
- Heavenly pleasure in your soul that cannot be explained (Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of Joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Ps 16:11)
